The client in this collaboration is a well-known Canadian outdoor camping brand with years of
experience in the North American hiking and camping market. Their core user base consists of
hiking enthusiasts who prioritize lightweight outdoor experiences. The client requested a
lightweight customization upgrade of our classic Hammock Tent model, tailored to meet the core
needs of North American users for lightweight hiking gear.
The client faced three specific challenges:
1. Balancing Lightweight Design with Durability: The client upgraded the original design—a
210T ripstop polyester rainfly and a 70D nylon hammock body—to a 20D diamond polyester rainfly
and 20D nylon hammock body. While sample testing showed excellent results,
post-mass-production field use revealed significant fabric tearing, leading to concentrated
after-sales complaints and seriously impacting the brand’s market reputation.
2. Cross-Time-Zone Supply Chain Responsiveness: The client is based in Canada, with a 12-hour
time difference from China. They urgently needed a supplier capable of quick response and efficient
problem-solving—not only to promptly fix quality issues with the existing product but also to
simultaneously complete sampling, testing, and mass production of the optimized solution in time
for the North American outdoor equipment peak sales season.
3.Product Line Differentiation: The client needs to develop two distinct product lines for different
user segments: an “ultra-lightweight version” for professional hikers and a “classic durable version”
for casual campers. This requires a supplier that can offer flexible, customized production solutions.

This image is a real-life full view of our classic Hammock Tent’s original design. It completely shows
the product’s overall structure and the original combination of the 210T ripstop polyester rainfly
and 70D nylon hammock body. This serves as the base prototype for the customization upgrade,
clearly presenting the product’s core design logic and the application scenarios of the original
materials.
Our product, materials, and supply chain teams conducted three rounds of in-depth
cross-time-zone discussions with the Canadian client’s brand and product leads. We not only
identified the client’s stated need for “lightweight upgrading” but also uncovered their core pain
points: creating a lightweight product that meets North American market trends while ensuring tear
resistance and durability in complex outdoor environments, and quickly resolving existing
after-sales issues to restore brand reputation.
We simultaneously collected end-user usage scenarios, detailed data on tearing issues, and North
American outdoor market industry standards from the client, providing a complete foundation for
the subsequent customized solution.

end users. It clearly shows the tear locations, patterns, and severity. This is a key basis for our
technical team to analyze the root cause of the problem and develop an optimized solution, visually
presenting the durability challenge that emerged after the lightweight upgrade.
